Information That Should Be Included In Your Cover Letter


Although your cover letter should be consistent with your resume, but it must not be as elaborate and long as your resume. Ensure that you have not copy pasted your resume within the cover letter content. It is also not a summary of your resume, but it is a document that emphasizes your interest in the position and/or the company that you are addressing, besides including your points strengthening your candidature.
The cover letter that you have been attaching with the resume must give the impression that it is solely and exclusively for that company and position for which the advertisement has been given. Focus on what the company needs, not what you want. The first impression is the last one as we have been learning past many years; it becomes so true and evident when it comes to job search and impressing your prospective employer.
Your cover letter should contain the following information:
Sender Data
The cover letter must state the name, address as well as zip code of your location. You must also include your phone number, email address and, optionally, the location schedule.
Receiver Data
Make sure that the letter is personalized and that the person whom you have written to, will assess the content of the letter. Therefore, it must include the name and surname of the addressee, his title, department, along with name and address of the company where the addressee is working.
The companies always want to seek employees who are intelligent and smart enough to carry on the work allotted to them, and this becomes very clear when you first interact with them, which are through resume and cover letter, hence creating a good resume and cover letter is indispensable to leave a good impression!
