The IT revolution in India has created a
multitude of employment opportunities and freshers have benefited the most.
Until the arrival of multinational IT companies, there were limited
opportunities for college students. Most of them applied for the tried and
tested routes of employment. Armed with fresh degrees, freshers either tried
for Govt. Jobs or applied in the various colleges do to research. Some joined
private companies. The IT sector not only brought fresh job openings, but for

With the opening of many multinational
global firms and Indian IT companies outsourcing work from India, freshers reaped
much advantages. Jobs in online writing, Tele-calling, and working in excel
sheets and maintaining balance sheets are some of the easier jobs created for freshers.
Fresher with regular degrees in science,
commerce or humanities availed these interesting and new fields of work. For
example, a student of English Literature was only eligible to work in newspaper
or magazines. The introduction of online writing was welcomed heartily. A
student graduated in commerce degree can now apply his knowledge in marinating
the balance sheets. The various outsourcing jobs welcomed these students.
And the best part, the salary is quite
attractive. Many freshers with general degree found jobs easily, thanks to the
IT companies. And in the age of the Internet, when the click of mouse does most
of the work, careers in these domains have a long way to go. These fresher jobs guarantee professional
growth.
Majority of the IT companies are in
metropolitan cities. New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, and Hyderabad- these
places saw the arrival of many freshers looking for jobs in the IT companies.
After completion of graduation, students from small towns arrive in these urban
centers with maximum IT impact.
